ComfyUI Alternative With No Install: What You Give Up and What You Get
Kryme
ComfyUI is the more flexible way to run image and video models, and it is free and open source. Yamete Studio trades that freedom for convenience: a panel in your browser, hosted GPUs and workflows that are already wired. If you want custom graphs, stay on ComfyUI. If you want the common settings without the setup, try Studio.
We make Yamete, so read this with that in mind. Everything about ComfyUI below comes from its own public pages, and our beginner's guide to ComfyUI explains how it works.
Side by side
| Yamete Studio | ComfyUI | |
|---|---|---|
| How you work | A panel with settings, or a chat assistant | A node graph you build yourself |
| Where it runs | Browser, hosted GPUs | Your own hardware, or Comfy Cloud |
| Models | A curated catalogue of checkpoints, LoRAs and embeddings | Any compatible model you load yourself |
| Video generation | Yes, from an image | Yes, depending on your workflow and models |
| Assistant | Yamete Chat writes prompts, renders and edits in conversation | Comfy Agent helps build workflows |
| Roleplay companions | Yes, long-term memory per conversation | Not part of the product |
| Adult content | Allowed for fictional adults, with moderation | Local use is yours to manage. Comfy Cloud bans illegal content such as non-consensual intimate imagery |
| Pricing | Free to start. Yamete+ $9.99 a month, or $5.99 a month on the 12-month term | Desktop free and open source. Cloud $20, $35 or $100 a month |

What do you give up?
Yamete runs ComfyUI graphs behind the panel, so the concepts will feel familiar. You can't edit those graphs, and Studio takes neither arbitrary files nor custom nodes. If those are why you use ComfyUI, stay on ComfyUI.
What do you get back?
You save the time and money that go into drivers, model downloads, broken dependencies and a GPU. You can work from a phone or a laptop, and the steps people usually build by hand are connected already: the face pass, the upscaler and image to video.
How do your settings map across?
| In your graph | In Studio |
|---|---|
| Load Checkpoint | Checkpoint picker |
| Load LoRA, with its strength | LoRA list, with a weight per LoRA |
| KSampler: seed, steps, CFG, sampler, scheduler | The advanced settings, open on every account |
| Face detailer, upscaler | Face restore and upscale options |

Can I run my own ComfyUI workflow on Yamete?
No. Studio runs its own workflows, and you choose settings and models from a curated catalogue.
Do I need a GPU to use Yamete?
