Evangelion Unit 00 is the prototype mecha of Neon Genesis Evangelion, the first operational Eva and the unit piloted by Ayanami Rei. It is a tall biomechanical mecha with a single eye on a cyclopean head, first painted orange and later repainted blue and white after its upgrade. Unstable and often damaged, it appears with a pallet rifle or a shield, and fans love drawing it with Rei standing nearby.
