A visual novel by Type-Moon, released in 2004, that launched the wider Fate franchise. Mages summon heroic spirits from history and myth to fight in a deadly tournament for the Holy Grail. The story branches into three routes, each centered on a different heroine: Saber, Tohsaka Rin and Matou Sakura. Character designs are by Takeuchi Takashi, and the routes received several anime and film adaptations.
