hero (dq1)

The Hero of Dragon Quest I is the descendant of Erdrick who sets out alone to defeat the Dragonlord, the template for countless later RPG protagonists. He is usually drawn as a determined swordsman in blue armor and a winged helmet, with a red cape, a round shield bearing a crest and a sword held high against the castle skyline.
