A Japanese browser game commonly called KanColle, developed by C2 Kikan under Kadokawa Games and published by DMM in 2013. Players act as an admiral who gathers and trains shipgirls, characters personifying warships of the Second World War, and sends them out to battle the mysterious abyssal ship fleets. It became a huge franchise with anime, manga, novels and an enormous amount of fan art.
