piranha plant

The Piranha Plant is the snapping, carnivorous flower that lurks inside pipes and pots throughout the Mario games, later promoted to a surprise playable fighter in Smash Bros. It is a classic obstacle with a cheerful menace. Its look is instantly recognizable: a round red head with a white polka dot pattern, big lips, sharp teeth, and green leaves on a stem, often sitting in a flower pot.
