U-1146 is a white blood cell, more precisely a neutrophil, and one of the two protagonists of Hataraku Saibou alongside the red blood cell AE-3803. Calm and polite with others, he turns ferocious when hunting germs, usually ending fights covered in splatter. Everything about him is pale: white hair, white skin, a white uniform and a white cap with a receptor that pops up when threats are near, plus a combat knife.
