The VF-1 Valkyrie is the iconic transforming fighter of Super Dimension Fortress Macross, a jet that shifts between fighter, robot and the in-between Gerwalk mode. It is drawn as a white, red or black jet-like mecha with a gun pod, missiles and a distinctive cockpit canopy, often mid-transformation. Art loves aerial dogfight scenes with missile trails and space backdrops.
