metapod

Metapod is a Bug Pokemon from the first generation, the cocoon stage between Caterpie and Butterfree that spends nearly all its time motionless, waiting for evolution under its tough shell. Its only move worth mentioning is Harden. It is drawn as a hard green shell shaped like a chrysalis, with a pointed tip, half-lidded eyes and a blank expression, usually perched on a branch.
